Rive Sangiovese the most traditional red wine of the Province of Pesaro.
Fattoria Mancini grows it on the coastal hills where it acquires personal characteristics, typical of the variety but very different from the warm tones it takes on elsewhere.
The cold microclimate and the sandstone soil allow us to obtain a wine in which the important structure is associated with freshness and elegance.
Production area: Monte San Bartolo Natural Park (PU)
Distance from the coast: 0.5/1km - altitude: 180 m above sea level.
Soils: silty, deep, calcareous, high sandy component. Average yield per hectare 7000 Kg/Ha.
Harvest at the beginning of October - Manual harvest in grilled boxes. The grapes are cooled as soon as they are harvested thanks to the mobile cell placed in the vineyard early in the morning. and collected from the tractor at 6pm each day.
Vinification: Total destemming of the grapes at 9°C. Fermentation in tank with delestage and pumping over for approximately 15 days. Fermentation in tanks at controlled temperature (max 30°C). Malolactic fermentation completed, carried out in barrique.
Aging 100% 12 months in barriques on the lees - monthly batonage in Allier barriques; 1st batch: bottled without filtration, 2nd batch: microfiltered pre-bottling minimum 12 months in bottle.
Winery founded in 1861 with vineyards located in the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park.
Very long-lived wines, with great balance between structure, depth, freshness and elegance.
