Fresh, young and innovative. Cercis takes its name from the pink of Siliquastro which colors our hills in spring.
Experimenting with Vernaccia Nera di Serrapetrona is never easy. The Merlot that grows in our vineyard blends and enhances every single typical note of the local native vine.
If it is true that everything flows and changes continuously, can a wine keep the memory of a territory that changes its look every season? The pink of the siliquastro that surrounds our vineyard in Spring has inspired us trust and hope and every time, in Autumn, we know how to recognize that beauty at the bottom of a glass.
Because a wine so deeply tied to the land could not betray its roots.


Production area Municipality of Serrapetrona, vineyard with southern exposure 500 m a.s.l.
Soil composition: Sandy-clayey with a good percentage of limestone
Training system: Inverted and guyot with 6000 vines/ha
Harvest: Manual in crates, second week of October, with careful selection of the best grapes
Vinification: Destemming of the berry with selection table, placing in steel barrels with controlled temperature, soft pressing
