"Monte Primo" is the name of the last of the mountains in the chain which, starting from Monte Igno, separates the Camerino area from the Montelago plateau. It is the absolute protagonist of the panorama that can be enjoyed from our vineyards. The power and energy of Sangiovese blend with the elegance of Merlot.
Production area: Brondoleto, Municipality of Castelraimondo (MC) Marche
Altitude of the vineyard: 400 a.s.l. -Location: Hilly - Exposure: south/south-east
Soil type: Medium texture, basically clayey with the presence of limestone
Vineyard age 10 years - Training system: Guyot - Plant density: 3,700 vines/ha
Harvest: Last ten days of September for Merlot / First ten days of October for Sangiovese
Vinification: Destemming of the grapes, cold pre-fermentation maceration for 3-5 days, inoculation of the yeasts and fermentation on the skins for another 7-10 days at 25-28 degrees C with periodic pumping over. Organoleptic test
Garnet red color that takes on orange tones over the years.
Elegant wine, launched in an ethereal maturation where cherries, cardamom, rhubarb, musk, pepper, plum and black cherries are fused with a very soft tannin, lightened by puffs of coffee and cocoa.
Broad and complex, its acidity delicately embraces the palate, in harmony with well-blended tannins.
Pairings: first courses with meat sauce, roasts and grilled meats. Wild boar roast with prunes and pine nuts.
Good traditions have deep roots.
The sensations of our wines are born from the care of the ancient vineyards of the estate and from the skilful work of the cellar.
