Typical cooked wine

It is not strictly a wine but a sweetish liqueur drink to share at the end of a meal.

Cooked wine (vino Cotto) is an excellent expression of a land with peasant traditions, a great meditation wine, but also an excellent dessert wine and goes particularly well with all dry pastries.

Cooked wine is an ancient recipe that is still produced today in the south of the Marche, in particular in the countryside of Loro Piceno where it has a high profile of history, culture and tradition.

With an intense ruby red color and a deep, rounded flavour, obtained from grape must that is boiled in a copper cauldron for at least 10-12 hours.
