Fattoria Mancini is one of only two producers of the DOC Colli Pesaresi Focara Pinot Nero, produced with a traditional red vinification, then aged in barriques for 12 months: strong personality and typical characteristics of the variety.
Production area: Monte San Bartolo Natural Park (PU).
Distance from the coast: 100 - 500 m Altitude: 100 / 150m above sea level.
Soils: loamy, deep, calcareous, with a high sandy component. Average yield per hectare 4500 Kg / Ha.
Harvest: end of August / beginning of September, manual harvesting in grilled boxes, cooling in the vineyard and transport by mobile cold store.
Vinification: total destemming of the grapes at 9 ° C pre-fermentation cold maceration for about 7 days fermentation in tank with delestage and pumping over for about 15 days, completed malolactic fermentation, carried out in barrique.
Aging: 12 months in barriques on the lees - monthly batonage.
