Ergo was born in Monteroberto, one of the most suitable Castelli di Jesi for the production of wine within the classical area. A Cru fruit of a very careful selection of grapes grown in biologic regime.
Late harvest, winemaking in the cellar made with traditional methods and the long aging, of which one part in ANFORA, give life to a unique and original wine.
White wine in antique style
Production area: Castelli di Jesi.
Grape variety: Verdicchio in purity.
Soil: Yellow sandstone marnee with sandy consistency.
Training system: Controspalliera with guyot pruning.
Plants per hectare: about 4,500.
Yield per plant: about 2.2 kg.
Vinification: Traditional outdoor, use of indigenous yeasts, partial control of temperature, fermentation and aging on its own yeasts, of which part in ANFORA, for one year.
Organoleptic examination
Color: Straw yellow with gold reflections.
Aroma: Intense and wide, rich in tropical fruit with citrus scents softened by hints of honey and dried fruit.
Taste: A sip full and soft but also fresh and savory that enchants for its balance.
Pairings: An old-fashioned Verdicchio, a perfect travel companion for traditional food: vincisgrassi, rabbit in porchetta, brodetto, terrine of lamb.
The state of the art of the expressive potential of Verdicchio fruit of an extreme viticulture, in some ways heroic.
"The producer, to do his job well, must be at the service of the territory, trying to enhance it in a neutral and sweet way, without original and extravagant bizarre interpretations". Gianluca Mirizzi
