Gianluca Mirizzi

"The producer, to do his job well, must be at the service of the territory, trying to enhance it in a neutral and sweet way, without original and extravagant bizarre interpretations."

Gianluca Mirizzi
Mirizzi

The Mirizzi company, in conversion to organic farming, was born in 2015, from the idea of Gianluca Mirizzi, after an apprenticeship at the helm of Montecappone born in the late 1960s in Jesi.

The winery has embarked on a path of constant agronomic research aimed at improving the viticultural front combined with the particularity of the soils and the reference microclimate.

The company philosophy that distinguishes it towards the market and the consumer is to be able to express in the wines the potential of nature, viticulture, technique available, for consistency, only grapes produced from their own vineyards are vinified.

The Mirizzi selection

represents the state of the art of the expressive potential of Verdicchio, the result of an extreme viticulture, in some ways heroic.

Conducted by planting a modern vineyard on a slope at the limits of the possible, almost mountain, where the hours of effort in agronomic management abound in the face of a quantitative yield of the grapes at the minimum acceptable.

A result of excellence

The core of the company consists of a vineyard of 6 hectares owned, on top of a hill overlooking the castle of Monte Roberto and an olive grove in the municipality of Cupramontana, facing each other, along the Aguzzana road, on the edge of the historic center.

We are on the right bank of the Esino, at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level, the soil is composed of marly arenaceous formations of the Miocene, so-called Member of the Borello sandstones.

The soils of this area derive from the filling of the sea basin present there in geological eras, by Apennine sediments, in fact they appear yellow in color and sandy consistency.
