The potential of an old Ancellotta vineyard for a wine that represents its best characteristics; impenetrable color, unique and intense aroma and very important structure.
Production area: Monte San Bartolo Natural Park (PU)
Distance from the coast: 0.5 / 1km. Altitude: 100 / 170m above sea level.
Soils: loamy, deep, calcareous, high component. Average yield per hectare 5000 Kg / Ha
Harvest: mid September with manual harvest. The grapes in boxes are cooled as soon as they are harvested and transported to a mobile cold store equipped with an independent motor.
Vinification: total destemming. Cold maceration for about 7 days. Fermentation in tank with delestage and pumping over for about 12 days. Malolactic fermentation entirely carried out, completed in Allier barriques.
Aging: 14 months in French barriques, bottling without filtration 18 months in the bottle.
Winery founded in 1861 with vineyards located in the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park.
Very long-lived wines, with great balance between structure, depth, freshness and elegance.
