From the Piceno hills an intense wine rich in history, the Pecorino di Casalfarneto is fresh, mineral, balanced and harmonious.
In this DOC white personality and tradition fit together perfectly respecting the typicality of the vine.
The vineyard is located in the hilly area of the province of Ascoli Piceno.
The soil has a clayey consistency and is facing south-east.
Harvest: Between late September and early October.
The vinification takes place by carrying out a soft pressing of the bunches and a subsequent thermocontrolled fermentation.
The refinement phase takes place for three months in steel and at least two months in the bottle.
Organoleptic characteristics
Deep straw yellow color.
Characteristic varietal aroma, quite intense and persistent of fruit and white flowers, acacia and broom.
It is a wine of great varietal expression, in the mouth it confirms the olfactory sensations and develops in balance with freshness and flavor, fine, persistent with a slightly bitter finish.
Pairings: with seafood and shellfish, fish-based first courses, white meats, aged cheeses, cured meats and with classic Ascolana olives.
