Grand Clochard Marche TGI white limited production. La Calcinara winery
The marl and chalk of our soils have the ability to remember the sea that once bathed these hills and to reflect it in the wine.
From this thought was born the Grand Clochard, obtained from fermentation on the skins of our white grapes.
First year of production 2018
Vineyards in the Marche in the province of Ancona - Age: 17 years
Terrain: Composed of marl, calcarenitic banks, sandstone and chalk.
Texture: clayey-sandy. - Soil rich in limestone and marine fossils.
Exposure and altitude: 200 meters above sea level. West exposure.
Training system: Guyot - Planting density: 3,700 plants per hectare
Harvest: Exclusively manual
Vinification: The grapes are harvested in mid-August in the coolest hours, destemmed and transferred to an open vat for fermentation on the skins for approximately 10 days.
Barefoot pressing and manual punching in the following days.
Spontaneous fermentation without the aid of sulfur dioxide with only the grape's own indigenous yeasts.
Aging on fine lees in steel. - Bottling: in April without filtration

Golden color.
Marine and salty smell on the nose. Vegetable, floral of chamomile and acacia.
Taste the subtle tannic texture manages to convey the tactile sensation of the limestone of the Conero rock. Dry and tasty
Pairings: Excellent with fish starters, crudités and sushi, aged cheeses and meditation.
