A project that comes to life in the midst of the dualism between belonging and freedom, we call it a vital impulse, that call that both brothers felt and that made them choose to stay and take care of the earth.
The company was founded in 1997 from Mario Berluti's experience in the wine and wine sector and above all in the intuition of identifying an excellent location for the development of vines in the composition of the land of the Candia hills.
This is how in 1999 the first 4 hectares of vineyards were planted with Montepulciano grapes trained with spurred cordon. The project is to bring the vine to its maximum expression, enhancing its qualities and highlighting the interaction it manages to express with the land in the area.
In 2005 the new vinification cellar was born and in 2007 the first Folle was born.
The whole family takes part in the entire production cycle, from pruning the vines to harvesting the grapes in small boxes, from refining in oak barrels to marketing the wine.
We want to give a liquid form to our territory, thinking of wine as an element of union between peoples.
We believe in an agriculture that has its roots in the history of its people and traditions.
And it is precisely here, on Monte Conero, that the vine is able to express all its personality through the wines.
We have always been artisans and for us there is authentic wine.
There is the gesture of taking care without imposing oneself, observing and accompanying.
Experience has led us to say that in the cellar, as in life, one must know how to let go, loosen the reins of command, accept and respect the character of the wine which is different every year.
The vineyards grow on clayey-sandy soil, decidedly calcareous, with tuff layers.
The presence of many fossils of marine origin foretell the mineral wealth of its wines.
Sometimes an unusual white powder is observed on the surface of the berries consisting of sea salt accompanied by the wind.
In Candia, a small hilly town near Ancona, in a natural landscape, Montepulciano grows in all its vigor and expresses its potential, giving each year a unique experience in its complexity.
