The etymology of its name takes up a geographical indication, in fact designating an ancient area of the city of Matelica. Petrara looks like an evolved wine, with an important maturation.
The vineyard from which it comes is oriented South - West at an altitude of 400m above sea level and enjoys greater exposure to sunlight.
Soil type: clayey-limestone
Training method: Counter-espalier, guyot pruning
Planting density 90 vines per hectare - Grape yield per hectare: 90/100 ql/ha
Harvest period: late September, early October with manual harvesting of the grapes.
Refinement: 6 months in stainless steel tanks and 2 months in the bottle
