Garofanata is an ancient grape from the Marche region. Considered extinct, it has recently been recovered from a very old specimen, also known as "Moscato bastardo". Probable synonyms are “Garofolata”, “Petrignone” or “Pampanone”.
Planted by Castrum Morisci in 2016 with the aim of safeguarding native varieties and giving prestige to the great little agricultural and wine history of our ancestors who have handed down so much wealth to us with their effort.

Soil: Medium texture tending to clayey
Training system: Guyot 4500 vines / ha - Yield: 80 q
Harvest: Manual, in small crates with selection of the bunches in the field.
Vinification: Cold processing of the grapes, static decantation and fermentation in steel, secondary fermentation in a small autoclave for 5 months.
Organoleptic examination
Straw yellow with bright reflections.
Floral and fruity olfactory notes, musk, peach, sage first of all and then lime blossom, wisteria, honey.
In the mouth it is soft, ample and persistent.
Recommended pairings: Appetizers and fish gratin dishes, preparations based on shellfish, pumpkin and bacon, mixed fried Ascolana, tempura, semi-mature fatty cheeses, desserts.
It makes wine with the use of steel, terracotta and wooden wine vessels, with the desire to discover and enhance all the aromatic range of cultivated vines.
The first winery in the Marche to produce wines with the Braille label for the blind and visually impaired.
