VOCABOLO ROSSO Marche Rosso IGT Pro.vi.ma. produced from a selection of the best Sangiovese grapes together with Merlot and Petit Verdot, the yield in the vineyard deliberately kept low gives this wine a great structure.
It ages for one year in small oak barrels and at least 6 months in the bottle before being placed on the market.

Area of origin: Hills of Matelica (MC) 350 m asl
Soil: Loose and of medium texture.
Yield per hectare: 110-120 quintals

Processing: Grapes harvested at right ripeness, polyphenolic and aromatic, destemming and soft pressing, fermentation with maceration for 7 - 10 days on the skins with periodic pumping over, racking and malolactic fermentation with the use of selected lactic bacteria.

Aging: Merlot and Petit Verdot mature for 8-12 months in French oak barriques (medium toast) for 1-2-3 years. Sangiovese is aged in stainless steel tanks. At least 6 months in the bottle.

Organoleptic examination
Intense ruby red with garnet reflections.
Intense aroma, with evident hints of red fruits (raspberry, blackberry, black cherry) and spicy notes of coffee, tobacco and black pepper deriving from the wood.
Persistent and harmonious flavor, with a balance of great softness and tannins that give a pleasant body.
