Raspberries are spontaneous fruits originating from the undergrowth, i.e. a small shrub made up of shoots and fruit-bearing shoots. They are grown organically at around 400 meters above sea level precisely in the Umbria-Marche Apennines in a natural way without treatments.
This is a single-bearing variety, it bears fruit in June-July on the shoots that developed in the previous year. In fact, pruning is very important in order to select the best shoots. Furthermore, the mowing of weeds must be done by hand so as not to damage the shoots that will bear fruit.
Raspberries are ripe red berries, very fragrant, they also provide precious nutrients useful for our health, are rich in antioxidants and contain more vitamin C than oranges.
The ancient Romans, great consumers of raspberries, used these fruits to prepare sweet and sour essences and cook roasts.
