Refinement: in oak barrels for over a year and then for 12 months in the bottle.
Tasting notes
Fills the glass with an intense ruby red.
The nose is elegant and complex with the scent of ripe plums, cherries, blackberries, resin and pine needles; balsamic and refreshing notes are softened by spicy and toasted aromas, with notes of licorice, vanilla and tobacco.
On the palate it has a great structure but extraordinarily balanced. Ripe fruit, spices and undergrowth satisfy the palate long after the sip.
Pairings: it goes well with grilled red meats, game and aged cheeses. We recommend uncorking well in advance.
