Of seasons that are renewed, of harvests that each year give different and unique fruits, of wines that are born and travel to land on tables all over the world.
Umani Ronchi was born more than 60 years ago in Cupramontana, where the heart of the Verdicchio Classico beats, to then explore numerous other areas of the Adriatic ridge.
It is Gino Umani Ronchi who begins to write our history. He does it by setting up a small farm in the Marche region. A few years later, Roberto Bianchi, a building contractor from Ancona with a strong passion for agriculture and his son-in-law Massimo Bernetti, recently graduated in Political Science, joined this small company with the prospect of a diplomatic career.
The company, which has maintained a family dimension, has been able to put Nature and People at the center, innovating, experimenting, investing, and giving space to training, especially when it comes to the young team of technicians, real added value for a wine company.
Promoting human well-being, creating value for people and building relationships based on stability, trust and mutual reliability are the hallmarks of our corporate culture.
The practices of organic agriculture applied to a significant agricultural heritage, attention to saving energy and water resources, the use of light and recyclable materials, participation in studies and research in collaboration with the university world, reveal a profound sensitivity towards sustainability, a theme that will continue to be the focal point of the company philosophy, together with the enhancement of local artisanal products.
The Umani Ronchi company is guided by a strong ethical approach and a deep respect for the environment and its biodiversity. An approach that manifests itself concretely when it comes to precision viticulture, management of treatments in the vineyard and organic fertilization.
A sustainable attitude that also guides the choice of materials: the packaging and light glass of the bottle determine a lower impact on CO2 emissions, while the synthetic corks produced from sugar cane are 100% recyclable. Photovoltaic energy contributes to energy savings and covers about half of the company's annual needs. The recovery of water in the cellar for the irrigation of green spaces and the use of emergency systems in Abruzzo, result in an important saving of the water resource.
Everything expresses a way of thinking and acting based on ecological and sustainable values which are further confirmed by the Equalitas Corporate Certification.
Umani Ronchi is present in over 60 countries, practically on all continents
Its wines are recognized and appreciated all over the world thanks to the dense network of contacts built over the years, to active listening to the markets, but above all thanks to the company's ability to have always remained faithful to the concept of constant and reliable quality over time.
Sea, sky and earth, in an extraordinary geometry of colors in motion.
This is the visual and emotional synthesis of the Adriatic ridge that sees us as protagonists of a viticulture attentive to enhancing a unique and unrepeatable territory, scrupulous interpreters of its main native varieties: Verdicchio, which finds its most natural dimension in the depth of these lands, and the Montepulciano del Conero which comes from a more calcareous soil and breathes the beneficial influence of the sea.
We are in the north-central part of the Marche region, between Jesi and Fano. In a strip of land that extends from the Adriatic coast to the slopes of the Apennines.
It is the Verdicchio area, a native vine that grows in the Marche region, where it manages to develop its distinctive features thanks to the particular climatic and environmental conditions.
A white wine characterized by aromas of broom, citrus and aromatic herbs. Savory and fresh, with a typical hint of almond on the finish.
Verdicchio is known for its ability to age for a long time. Reserves and wines obtained from individual vineyards can age for more than 10 years, acquiring considerable complexity.
