IT COMES BETTER, MADE WITH PASSION - The world appeals to Italian craftsmanship for its careful way of carrying on traditions, mixing past and future.
Filotea egg pasta is made according to the ancient recipe of the Marches following the same manufacturing process used by our grandmothers. As in making homemade pasta on Sundays, only the best eggs and the best flour are used.
This craftsmanship and patient processing is essential to obtain a unique product of its kind with extraordinary characteristics of lightness and digestibility and with a high capacity to absorb sauces, enhancing any type of preparation.
Because it is the result of a mixture of flour, durum wheat semolina and fresh eggs.
Because it is dried slowly at a low temperature.
Because it is rough and has an extraordinary ability to absorb sauces.
Because it has very short cooking times. Because it tastes the same as fresh homemade pasta, but it is dry and has a shelf life of two years.
Because it is more digestible and lighter.
The small Filotea reality, located in Ancona, in the heart of the Marche region, was born from the desire to make pasta as it once was. An artisanal product that smells of genuine ingredients, that smells of Sunday lunches, of sharing, "of the expert hands of grandmothers" that intertwine with the laughter of children who observe curiously.
Ancona rises on the central Adriatic coast on a promontory formed by the northern slopes of Monte Conero.
The most representative monument of the city of Ancona is the Cathedral of San Ciriaco, a splendid Romanesque-Gothic basilica.
The best known beach is Portonovo (Blue Flag); the beach alternates gravel and stony sections, with very white and rounded limestone pebbles, considered one of the peculiarities of the locality. The presence of the woods directly in contact with the beach, together with the open views towards the majestic bulk of the Conero, constitute a great attraction of the area.
