Cellar in the Marche region,

Cellar in the Marche region,
Santa Cassella

Since 1700 the Buonaccorsi counts, from whom the current owners descend, cultivated the vine in the Santa Cassella company.
In 1970 a new phase began aimed at increasing the quality of production.

Alongside the traditional vineyards (Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Maceratino, Malvasia and Verdicchio) some international vines are introduced, such as Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
The conviction that good wine comes first of all from the vine has led the company to place particular commitment in the care of the vine, especially in the reduction of production per vine. The grapes, harvested by hand, are then softly pressed. Red wines and some particular white wines are aged in oak barrels.
The company, having found continuous success in the production of quality wines, plans to develop a new 10-hectare vineyard with approximately 5,000 vines per hectare.

The Santa Cassella company is located in the Marche which is a decline of gentle hills and valleys that descend from the Apennines to the sea; it has an extension of about 70 hectares of which 25 are vineyards.
