Beer is born from the earth

It is obvious, but not for those who still make beer an industrial or artisanal product.
And Beer is best when the land is good and it is produced by those who cultivate Barley, taking care of its quality.

Beer is born from the earth
LaCotta®

The Colleverde company, founded in 2004 by the will of Luigi Rengucci and Francesco Tontini, is the result of the great passion for high quality agricultural activity aimed at the production of craft beer.

The LaCotta® brand is the symbol of high quality agricultural beer obtained with the great research, passion and craftsmanship of our master brewers. The entire production cycle is concentrated in a laboratory obtained from a skilful renovation of an old farmhouse, which has been able to combine tradition with innovative architectural elements.

The excellence and quality of the products is guaranteed by the use of totally natural ingredients, the fruit of the land we cultivate and control, such as barley, malt, spring water, in addition to the purity of the Montefeltro air .

These unique characteristics are found in the flavours, aromas and colors of LaCotta® beers.

The brasserie

La Cotta is an idea, as well as a passion, and the idea was and remains that of combining beer and traditional dishes from our hills and Montefeltro, without neglecting more particular and innovative proposals.

Our brasserie is a place and an experience; it is the way we have identified to share our passion and desire to innovate with our customers, developing our cooking and master brewing philosophy.

We prepare the pasta at home, our crostini are the result of continuous research, we use the meat of local farmers, we collaborate with local producers seeking the best for our customers.

And Beer is best when the land is good and it is produced by those who cultivate Barley, taking care of its quality.

The Colleverde Agricultural Company produces barley in the favorable climate of the Montefeltro hills and transforms it into high quality malt in the malthouse of which it is a member: the COBI Agricultural Cooperative of Ancona.
The passion and dedication employed to make one's barley become beer in the La Cotta Brewery complete the work in terms of fragrance, authenticity and unique aromas that only when it is Agricola can beer be offered.

LaCotta® beers are produced with natural methods, without the addition of additives, unpasteurised.

The company is located in the locality of Ca' Corsuccio in a strategic position, in the heart of the historic Montefeltro between Urbino, Carpegna and San Leo.

From up there, the eye can wander over the valley of the Foglia river below and admire, above the splendid lake of Mercatale, the village of Sassocorvaro on which stands the Rocca di Francesco Di Giorgio Martini, a work of extraordinary importance, symbol and heart of this territory.

A land of history and culture, almost entirely located in the northern part of the province of Pesaro-Urbino on the border with Romagna and Tuscany.

Its territory, mountainous and hilly, is dug by many water courses, in a privileged position full of green and wooded valleys that are interrupted in sudden landslides.

Its historical past is great, but having also been a transit area that connected northern Europe with Rome and the Mediterranean, it has hosted various civilizations that have left historical evidence on the territory recognized in the castles, fortresses, towers, small villages entirely fortified and churches full of works of art.
