It was invented by Mario Ottavio Baldoni in 1944. With the help of an old liquor specialist, the founder of the Ancona-based company began to produce a drink obtained entirely through the infusion of coffee and a subsequent mixing of sugar and alcohol. At first it was served only to friends and acquaintances, then, seeing the popularity, Baldoni decided to offer his liqueur to the market: it was a success.
Along with the well-known Coffee Liqueur, one of the products the company is most proud of is the Amaro del Pescatore produced through the maceration of aromatic herbs with digestive properties.
