In the period of great development for Italian craft beers, we decided to throw ourselves into the fray, in a sector that still sees us young in a world of sailors. But we have desire, projects, enthusiasm and creativity.
This is how Menoamara beer was born in October 2015, a reality entirely from San Benedetto.
The common thread is the passion for beer and the main goal is to create quality craft beers, for everyone, easily recognizable and identifiable with the territory and its people; the love for the sea and the seafaring tradition are inevitably reflected in our creations and we report it in the graphics confirming the passion of a people for everything that represents their history.
The Menoamara project was born from collaborations and in our path we preferred to surround ourselves with friends, professional figures that we consider competent and of whom we have deep esteem; as lovers of quality and in support of the local economy, we have chosen to use local raw materials, from the water of our Apennines to barley at Km 0, from wheat to the spices present in our recipes.
The story told is that of an old sea dog, of his world and his extravagant companions in adventure, eclectic and sometimes bizarre characters created with the help of the art master Marco Calcinaro, also from San Benedetto.
The trait that the artist wanted to give to the labels, or rather to his works of art, is the hipster one, purified in the latest versions of frames and decorations, making the graphics cleaner and more essential without losing the vintage touch that distinguished them.
Lancetta beer was the first creation and embodies all the Menoamara philosophy: linked to the sea and tradition; the name refers to the ancient fishing boats of the Adriatic and the label refers to the most classic of fishermen.
A beer that has drawn the line, characterized by mainly fresh and summer beers but drinkable all year round, in style but easy to drink.
We have clear ideas. The common will is to make beers that create enthusiasm, trying to anticipate market trends and conquer people's tastes.
The anchor, which in the navy carries with it profound meanings (stability, firmness as well as security, fidelity and hope) thus becomes the symbol of Menoamara.
