A brand born from the union between Design and Made in Italy craftsmanship

Elga Design

"L’italiano" cutting boards in the shape of Italian regions communicates a geographical and above all emotional value of a territory to which it belongs and manages in a unique way to enhance the food and wine specialties of each Italian region.

"L’italiano" is a project that arises from the simple observation of everyday life, combined with the propensity for design and craftsmanship and the desire to give value to local food products of the Italian territory.

With "L’Italiano" we like to tell stories of territoriality, traditions, family, we like to tell our Made In Italy, made of simplicity, observation and creativity.

"The Italian" is protected for its uniqueness by an industrial patent.

Each piece of this series, in addition to being used for serving and cutting, manages to emphasize the symbolic charm of the territorial border, which for Italy means variety of local cultures and traditions.

Objects created with dedication, attention to detail, use of simple materials such as wood and ceramic, which fit into a domestic dimension, with a view to "conscious" consumption to restore the sacredness and importance to objects that they had in the past of our traditions.

We only use high quality beech wood. We take care of details and value Made in Italy craftsmanship.

Montappone, a charming medieval town framed by the hills of the province of Fermo, was a feudal castle from the year 1000.

In this village with a medieval core, an ancient craft of traditional craftsmanship survives, that of the hatter.
The straw hat, in these parts, is transformed into a real artistic creation that transcends its simple function as a clothing accessory.

A visit to the Museo del Cappello di Montappone, in Piazza Roma, where you can admire period materials and artifacts and machinery, projections, photographs and illustrative panels that allow you to retrace, step by step, all the stages of straw processing.
