With a dark amber color, the nose is herbaceous with balsamic notes.
On the palate the first taste has a spicy start that evolves to the balsamic of mint, to close with a bitter note of gentian.
The finish is long and persistent, clean and balanced, the signature of Meletti liqueurs.
The characteristic taste of Fernet Meletti is obtained through a cold extraction process known as percolation.
Herbs, roots and spices are placed in a large container on a filter. Pure alcohol is pumped over them in order to wet them and extract all the aromas and perfumes.
This pumping and percolation continues until the Meletti family determines the digestive ready to be mixed with a syrup, filtered and bottled.
