The Saputi family has been involved in the cultivation of vines and the production of wine for four generations.
The founder, Angelo Saputi, in the first half of the twentieth century, created one of the first wineries in the Marche with wines of great character.
Then his son Adriano with passion and devotion continued the expansion of the cellar.
Today it is a family-run business that has reached its 4th generation and is managed by Alvaro Saputi with his 2 children, Leonardo winemaker specialized in viticulture and Andrea commercial manager.
The attention for the territory, the vineyards and above all the love for their children and for future generations, have pushed the Saputi family towards a healthy cultivation, without pesticides and chemicals, transforming all their crops from conventional agriculture to BIO , a cycle that ended in 2017 with the certification on the “organic product” label.
All the processing of our grapes and wine production takes place within our cellars and is followed by our team from harvesting to bottling.
The production consists of the line dedicated to the Ribona DOC produced with native grapes "maceratino ribona" which includes a still white and two bubbles, a Martinotti Method and a Classic Method.
The selection of our white wines is completed by a Passerina IGT, a characteristic vine of the Marche region, and two international labels, Chardonnay and Sauvignon.
The production of reds includes a Colli Maceratesi DOC, a young and authentic expression of the Macerata territory, made with Sangiovese base, and two other wines that are subjected to a long aging in our barrel, the Rosso Piceno DOC, made with Montepulciano grapes and Sangiovese and a very elegant pure Merlot.
The Saputi Winery was born in the heart of the Marche region in Colmurano (Mc) among the sweet Macerata hills.
Its vineyards are mainly located in Colmurano and in the 3 neighboring municipalities of Urbisaglia, Loro Piceno and San Ginesio, at an altitude ranging from 300 to 500 meters above sea level. which strongly influences its character.
