Fedus Simone Capecci Marche IGP Sangiovese with submerged cap, obtained from pure Sangiovese grapes from the oldest family vineyards with limited productivity, but very high final quality. The wine is a tribute to the potential of Sangiovese in our territory.
Its name recalls the Latin name of the pact stipulated between the Piceni and the Romans against the Gauls in 300 BC.
Age of the vineyard over 30 years with southern exposure and altitude 250-300 m
Clay and silty soil. - Spurred cordon training. - Yield per hectare 40 HL/ha
Harvest with manual harvesting and selection of the bunches in the second ten days of September.
Vinification: Fermentation and maceration in a cement tank for a period of 6 months with submerged cap.
Sensory analysis
Wine with a bright ruby red color.
On the nose the aroma is intense with hints of small red fruits.
Full-bodied, elegant flavour with a tannic structure that blends harmoniously with the fruity vitality. The not excessively marked acidity gives the wine greater depth and persistence.
