A journey into the history of the garden and the former convent of S. Stefano.
More curious news and anecdotes about the vegetable garden and its convent, from a medieval garden to a place of Leopardi's poetics up to the current redevelopment as a simple garden and biodiversity laboratory thanks to the plants and ancient crops of the territory now reintroduced.

A seguito dell’accordo firmato tra il Comune di Recanati, il FAI, il Centro Nazionale di Studi Leopardiani e il Centro Mondiale della Poesia e della Cultura ‘Giacomo Leopardi’, sono state affidate alla Fondazione la valorizzazione culturale e la gestione di una parte degli spazi del Centro Nazionale di Studi Leopardiani e di quella porzione del Colle conosciuta come Orto delle Monache.
L’obiettivo del FAI è stato quello di realizzare un progetto di valorizzazione e restauro che mettesse in relazione i due aspetti del Colle dell’Infinito: quello paesaggistico e quello filosofico e poetico.
A pochi passi dalla casa natale di Giacomo Leopardi, infatti, nell’orto dell’antico Monastero di S. Stefano, il poeta ambientò la celebre poesia L’Infinito. L’Orto sul Colle dell’Infinito è quindi il culmine di una vera e propria “visita guidata” dentro la poesia, che invita, tra proiezioni immersive e coinvolgenti esperienze, a riscoprire la storia, il significato e il valore universale di pochi versi, capolavoro della cultura italiana.
All'interno del percorso i visitatori incontreranno una piccola camera di registrazione dove è possibile registrare la propria lettura de L’Infinito per poi condividerla sul portale web appositamente realizzato dal FAI www.fainfinito.it Il portale navigabile on line sarà una specie di opera collettiva intitolata alla lirica di Giacomo Leopardi.
