Tradition

The Capriotti Agricultural Company has its roots in a family history, when in the 1950s Nonno Franzio, known as Ezio, decides with courage and determination to leave the sharecropping job and move to cultivate a piece of bare land in Castelplanio (AN) , among the multicolored hills in the heart of the castles of Jesi, which already boasted a centuries-old winemaking tradition.

Many years later, grandfather Ezio passed away, his grandson Mirco begins to hear the "call of the earth" whispering childhood memories, so with his sister Monia they decide to embark on the adventure of their own business to maintain a family tradition that otherwise risked to be lost.

"Wine is made in the vineyard"

In the vineyard, repetition does not exist and in this Monia has found its dimension. Most of his attention to the rows: even the vine plant has its own life cycle, so the work is long and complex, the operations are delicate and very important to give the right imprint to the vineyard, taking into account the conditions of the soil and the seasons.

Everything is done completely by hand, with skilful and precise movements, from the pruning to the harvest. The wildcard of the company is Mirko, who transforms himself from agricultural tractor driver in charge of the preparation and treatment of the vineyard, to warehouse keeper, winemaker, sales manager, with the dream of making their project grow and know more and more.

Our products

Thanks to the favorable nature of the soil and the microclimate, to the growing curiosity and tenacity that gradually enriched the knowledge of the Capriotti brothers, in recent years excellent results have been achieved and quality products obtained.

In fact, two labels, "La Pietra" and "Kalamos", were born from Verdicchio grape vines and an extra virgin olive oil from the olive trees, which claim the genuine rurality of the unchanged flavors of the past.
